Nice, local coffee shop! Try the super crunchy and creamy cornette with pistachio. Marzotti (bun with a whip cream inside) was also should be tried. Coffee was very delicious, I had both cappuccino and espresso lungo. Lactose free and other milk options available.

Had an amazing cappuccino at this caffe. This is a neighborhood cafe, quick to go in and out. I’d go for the coffee, not for the ambience. Would go back when in Rome!

Really nice little cafe with yummy but affordable coffee and food. Music created a nice atmosphere, staff very friendly. Toilets were available- free for customers or 1eu for non customers. Really nice spot

This place offers excellent coffee and baked goods at very reasonable prices. The cappuccino is fantastic! But what really caught my attention was the kindness and humour of Matteo, the server behind the counter. Matteo was always quick to greet me each day I came in. He was not only super friendly with me, but he somehow manages to make everyone around feel good. Thank you, Matteo! The owner is lucky to have you as part of his business and you made my holiday unforgettable. I will definitely visit Caffe Antica again when I return to Rome.

great selection of sandwiches and all things breakfast. lovely staff and not expensive! 5min or less walk from colosseum too which is great. lovely outside area

We had such a great experience at Caffè Antica Roma. The two gentlemen working that morning were incredibly nice and friendly, which made the visit feel so welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the cappuccino was perfect. You really can’t beat the price for the quality you get here. We arrived around 6:30 AM on a Saturday, and it was calm and cozy inside. By about 7:00 AM, it started to get busy, so going early was definitely a plus. Highly recommend for a warm, tasty, and affordable breakfast in Rome!

This is one of cafes open in the early morning and the cappuccino was good. Bakery was also good and I like the vibe. If someone looking for cafe before visiting colosseum, i recommend.

Cornetto con pistacchio is a must-try, along with their mortadella panino and maritozzi. Service is fast, kind, and accommodating for English speakers, seating inside and out. Great spot to go to while visiting the Colosseo and nearby sites, while avoiding places that are too touristy.

A popular local cafe near the Colosseum, but tucked away few streets from the chaotic sea of tourists. SURPRISINGLY a good place for breakfast sandwiches, which are rare from the Roman breakfast. It’s a point-your-choice system. The display cabinets are full of lovely sandwiches, savory breads and pastries baked for the day. The staff are amazingly fast to serve, the gentleman at the till knows exactly what the customer has picked. They are very friendly. Coffee is freshly brewed. Colosseum coffee break! This bustling cafe a couple of blocks away from the Colosseum, is a great spot for a coffee and snack. The prices are very reasonable - we paid just €1.60 for our cappuccino al tavolo and I loved the sfogliatella al limone. The service is really friendly too - no wonder it's so popular!
